A Blog for the Books - July :)

Okay, so it has been awhile :) Jared and I have been packing like crazy. I am not sure that I posted the fact that we are moving, again! Jared and I found a cozy little place in La Vernia to settle for what we hope is at least a couple of years. So, now that the packing is over (we move tomorrow), I thought I would catch you up on the month of July before my next absence while the unpacking is going on :)

Yup that is my poor little ole car, whom we hope keeps moving us around for a few more years. A young man, new to the city, decided, to look up at a sign to be sure he was headed in the right direction, only to plow into a Toyota Camry who then plowed into me. Yikes! I was pretty sore the next day. I just spent 2 1/2 weeks going to the Chiropractor daily. Things seem fine now and I have stopped treatment. I just had whip lash and tension mainly. My car was declared totaled. But Jared and I decided we were going to fix it anyway. We don't have any car payments on it currently and we have been enjoying that. So it is under repair at the moment.

My sisters :) They bring so much joy to my life. I know that is cheesy, but it is true. We took these snapshots when we went to vist them at Camp Bandina. They were both counslers there this year. Jared and I hope we can join them next year at camp.

Some of my girls friends from College came to visit for a weekend. These girls are so awesome and it is always a joy to be with them. I also was babysitting my niece for the weekend, so it was a pretty packed couple of days. Laura and Mindi both have birthdays this month along with me, so Kristin had bought a cake in Houston and brought it up to celebrate with us. So sweet! We missed our friend Erin who was on an adventure with her mom and sister, and our other friend, Jarra, arrived later, so she isn't in the pictures. It was a special time of catching up and sweet memories.
So, this is my new 4th grade classroom. I got a sneak peak earlier this week. But due to construction, we don't get in again until August 15th! Yes, yes, I am very nervous about having time to get it ready, but I have alot of sweet servants already volunteering time. This year will bring so many amazing new adventures to my life. And when I say so many, I mean 40 kids! :)
This is Thomas, my beta fish. And if you know me well, you know that even this is really hard for me to write. I know he is just a fish, and I may seem silly, but it is how I love, and I loved him more than most might love their fish. Thomas is a beta that I have had for more than 2 1/2 years now. I first got him at a wedding celebration for my friend Eric and Natalie Albright. Natalie's maiden name was Thomas :) He was a table decoration, and we had stayed through clean up time when they started offering for others to take home the fish. I just decided I would be one of those people. So he has been with me through so many changes, 7 different moves, my senoir years :) of College, a marriage, a career. Thomas seemed a real part of my family. As weird as that might sound, if you are reading this, you should know me well enough to understand. Thomas passed away two nights ago. He died of old age. He had gotten a little pale in his face, and he kept attempting to swim, but just couldn't get to the top anymore. Anyway, I just guess I wanted to share him with you for whatever reason :)
So that is July in a nutshell :) I love you all and I hope you are doing well!
