A week and a half before Thanksgiving I got a call that my eldest sister, Michelle, was in the hospital with severe pain. Her family was in Bishop at the time for her husband's family reunion, so she was at the hospital in Kingsville. It was her gall bladder and she did also have pancriatitus (if that is how you spell it :) But, she was out and home with us by the following weekend (had her gall bladder removed), or so we thought...My mom, Michelle, Kevin and I were all at mom's house taking care of Michelle last Saturday when her pains got so severe, the doctor in Kingsville said to head to the nearest hospital. To San Antonio we went. Michelle's pancreas had become inflammed and was very swollen. They took her off of solids and liquids, all she could do was chew gum until the Wednesday before Thanskgiving. Although she spent her birthday in the hospital, they released her on Thanksgiving day and she was able to have a little turkey and stuffing. She is now doing well and hopes to be back at work next week.
Jared and I went to his parents house for Thanksgiving. It was real nice to see everyone and spend some time there. Jared and I did get up with his family at 3:30 a.m. on Black Friday to get some great prices on Christmas gifts. It was early, real early, but worth it. The picture above of Jared and Jordy is at IHOP after the shopping. I had went home to watch Jordy after 4 a.m. Kohls and she woke up just in time for us to meet the family for breakfast. So that is "Bedhead" Jordy :)
We came home Saturday and I went straight over to Bethany's Shower. My cousin is getting married in 3 weeks and we got a small group together to celebrate. It was a blast! We met around 2:00 and did Mary Kay facials, then we got dressed real nice and went to a nice restaurant in San Antonio. After that it was back home for a taped interview with her fiance, gifts, and girl talk. It was so much fun and it was especially nice seeing Kasey again. It has been years since I have seen her (she was my roomie in College).
